| Hello, new guy on this forum. Not exactly a local but have been to Uwharrie many times in my fullsize trucks. I'll be down there again this coming weekend with a group of wheelers. Unfortunately this time my rig isn't ready so I'll be running winch and locking hubs. So I'll bring my RC crawler to play around with and maybe hook some of my buddies on to rc crawling, since most guys who wheel the real thing catch the RC bug too. I was just wondering if any locals would be there, or maybe give me some pointers on better places to RC crawl. Of course I won't be playing on Kodack when a monster on 49's rolls by but I'm sure there are some good spots. Thanks. | |

| Yup, I'm Jamus everywhere. I posted on RCC and Brando said to post up over here. He said yalls event was the following weekend, which sucks. It's cool that you guys have events at a place like Uwharrie. | |

| Maybe if Scott or Randy see's this they can help. Directions to the spots we crawled last year would be helpful. I was riding shotgun on our trip last year. All I remember was a bunch of tress. And Reid taking the Dodge out in the trails. I think Reid knows Uwharrie pretty well also. And I remember the breakfast biscut the size of my head. I can't wait to go back just for breakfast. | |

| Did you guys camp out or was it close enough to drive to? We'll be at the group camp area. I've been coming down off and on since 2002 with an S10 group. | |

| Ive been to uwharrie a couple times. (im the reid brando mentioned earlier). i would guess its about 2 or so hours from the NC border depending on where your coming from. bring a sleeping bag, motel rooms are limited.
As for Rc crawling.....pretty much anywhere is gonna be a blast! i may come down, got a new land rover 1:1 i wanna try out! gotta talk the ole lady into it. if i go i will definatly bring the RC! lemme know where you guys are gonna be and PM me some contact info, if i head down there, we'll meet up, i need a second rig on the trail with me as im all stock and no winch.....anyone else up for it! randy...scott? lets get those jeeps in the mud!!!!

| We'll be camping at the group camp spot, site C I think. I'm with a group of S10's but we've never been big on brand or make. I don't even own an S10 anymore, but still ride with them. I'm sure you'd be more than welcome with us. Our "head honcho" drives a green box body S10 on 38s and solid axles with a super short bed. He volunteers down there and is there a lot, might have seen him. I'm keeping an eye on this thread so just yell if you decide to go. No cell phone or I'd give you that. Don't know if I mentioned it, but I'll be there Thursday through Monday, maybe Tuesday. | |

| Well, I'll be heading out in the morning. If any of you decide to come out, just look for this truck either on the trails or at group camp site C. I'll be close by. | |

| I made it down to uwharrie, didnt run into. Did some solo running the trails, nothing too difficult, just wold den a few times up and down. its a lot easier with no water on the tral!! crawled the rc some but 1:1 wheeling is where my hearts at so spent most of the time on the trail. also went to high rock lake about 15 minutes away and did some cliff diving. ive never done anything like that....scary as hell at first!!! | |

| Sorry I missed ya. I didn't do any real RC crawling, just around camp. We did every trail there at least once. There was a whole group of Land Rovers staying across from us. Probably 15 rigs. Was it dry or what? | |

| Yeah, lucky for me it was dry....ive got street tread, thats why i stuck to wolfs den. there was ALOT of dust though!!!! it gonna take forever to clean the inside of the truck!! I heard i missed the landrovers. someone at the outpost told me i just missed them. that woulda been cool.
Making plans to camp again this weekend for the comp and atleast a trail ride the following weekend.
