| Hey guys for any of you Slash freaks out there we will be having a Slash day here at my house this Saturday @ 10:00 am. The first part of the day will be spent getting the track in a little better shape for Slash racing. I pretty much let it go when I stopped racing electric offroad but we will make a good attempt to get it back into race condition with the Slash in mind. There should be a good group of us here and it shouldn't take long to get ready to bash. I can promise a great time for anyone that would like to come and would really appreciate the help on the track. Please post up here if you are interested in coming out this Saturday. Everyone is invited.
We already have a thread started here on the club's site if you would like to view it or even post up if you would like.

| Oh yeah guys one more thing. Since we are on my property (private property) coolers are allowed. Make of that what you will. Please be responsible with whatever you decide. | |

| Hey Harold;
I would but I am still recovering from the beating that Mike laid on me on my track yesterday. (and my wife needs my help with stuff, and I might have time to build something for the Bullhole comps)

| hey
Were the trucks stock? If not what did people change?
Once I learn how to do turns at faster the 5 mph, I might add a mild brushless set up. I guess I have to get some batteries that are less then 5 years old some time soon.

| Yes we ran stock trucks. They were just as they came out of the box. I would be almost willing to bet if you would have came today you would not have been the slowest on the track. I think we are going to have a 4th of July night race under the lights here at my place. More details to come. | |

| Pretty cool video. It was taken pretty early in the day before we made all of the changes to the track and everyone found the grove. The afternoon racing was much smoother and faster. Come join in on the fun. http://www.archive.org/download/TraxxasSlashRacing6_21_2008/Slash06_21_2008.wmv | |

| Nice video. UPS is dropping my Slash off at my door today. This truck looks like a blast to drive. Wish I didn't live so far from you guys, that track looks like a lot of fun. Especially when you get a bunch of trucks, and then you can trade paint and not worry about catching wheels. | |

| hey
That sounds awsome.
After you have the lights up, I would love to know which ones you used and if they produced enough light.
I may have to do the same, so that I can play when the days get shorter.

| Racing under the lights is most certainly where it's at. Here are a few pics of the light installation yesterday afternoon. http://www.putfile.com/album/193831 When we got them all put up and turned them on track was lit better than some commercial tracks that I have seen. We will be building and lighting a 110' running foot dirt oval next week for racing of the 1/18 Losi DLM car. The oval will be built to the left side of the Slash track. Racing under the lights at Windy Hill Raceway. Racing is great way to have fun we you have no where to crawl. | |
