| hey there
I bought the steel to make the frame for my Defender 110 P/U that I plan to run in Augusta at the scale comp.
Are you wanting to build a 2.2 or 1.9?

| Hey
It would be awsome if you can have it built as a 1.9 by the Augusta comp. I will have my D110 done and tested by then and I will add a winch if I have someone to do that partner run with.

| im gonna fit the 2.2's tight and geo's run small, so 1.9s should look fine on it. they may look a little small, but they have more room for flex.
i wouldnt count on me being in augusta. got too much going on and too little cash. Ive got a bathroom remodel that holly says holds priority over my hobby! lol, we'll see though.

| Well, that was a pretty general obvservation of the landrover product line. let me rephrase...Discovery Series II sucks. anything built after 1998 sucks. Its a BMW with a well, transfercase would be an overstatement. Dont get me wrong, i;d love to have an old series IIA or a defender...early 90's defender. But what i have now is a nightmare, everything is overcomplicated and prone to fail on the trail. underpowered, approach angles suck, flimsy axles, unreliable traction control (and im refering the transfercase...non lockable in 2001) departure angle sucks, wheel sensors suck, three amigos suck ( if you own a landy, you know what i mean) nothing works but oem landy parts only available in solihul england. If i had tons of money and only enjoyed some back trails exploring, it would be great. But i plan i on running it a little harder than i think i want to spend the money to make it survive. Ive enjoyed it so far, but quickly realized i outgrew it long before i even bought it. Speaking of outgrown....those things just werent made for fat americans. I dont know who the hell it was made for...but at 220 im too wide for it and 5'7" im too tall for it, i bang myhead getting in everytime! how is that possible!? just exactly who did the brits have in mind when they built this chinese finger trap of a 4x4? | |
