crawling comp at haw river

i just got my ax10 all together last week and went to haw river i found some ok terrain but i wanted to know where it was you guys did the comp at thanks for your help

sup dud, I'm over in Wilson just north of you about 40 miles and we do most of our crawl'en at a place called Battlepark. Its just a tad bit further north about 15 miles i'd say, But well worth the drive. Take 95 north to Rocky Mount, then take the US HWY 64 exit east towards Tarboro and Rocky MT. take the Benenue Rd. exit it will be the 4th exit once you get off 95 and onto 64. At the bottom of the ramp look straught across the st. and the sign will be right there. take the service rd to the first turn to the right towards Gazebo proceed to parking. We go almost every Sunday arrive around 12-1 leave around 5-6. We should be there this Sunday as well. There are usually about 6 of us that go. you are welcome to join us any time.

hey thanks for the info and the invite, i will really try to make it out there this weekend. i want to see how my new rig will do on some good rocks.

The Comps are held off hwy 64 just outside of Pittsboro. On the downstream side of the bridge. We prefer the eastern side of the river, when the water is down really good cause there is tons of rocks to crawl on. You have to walk down the eastern bank of the river about 200 yards, but the walk is well worth it.

yeah, the haw is one of the best places we crawl.

Trust me, I believe it is as close to crawling nirvana as your gonna find this side of Boone. You can honestly crawl all day and never hit everything.

I read in the paper that they are having some kind of clean sweep thing going on at Battlepark this weekend. Its where folks get together to pick up all the trash, trim bushes and that kinda thing. So this may not be the best weekend for getting together but if you still want to come I still think we may ride over there after lunch just to see whats going on. if it aint to busy we may still try to get in a lil crawl'en. We got some new Hammer M2's that need brak'en in, weather per mit. If you want you can call my cell 252 289 5969 to see whats up.

hey thanks for the invite but i think i am going to head over to the haw river agin this sunday. my wife liked it there a lot and it is getting warm so the kid can play in the river now
