Ok guys Clodstall messed me up by letting me look at his toy. Now I have an F350 on lay away. I want to go to a 4 link set up. I have the Axial tires and rims so I'm good there. I do not want to go super crazy. I just want to pull the leaf springs and put a 4 link and coil overs on it. Any links or help would be great. Also the winch toolbox and items like that where do I get them from?
John

If your going for the scale look I would keep the leaf springs. You can soften the ride by removing some of the leafs. Then get yourself some oil filled dampers. RC4wd.com has some nice looking scale shocks. You will find alot of the little scale goodies are built not bought. Things like winches, tool boxes, light bars etc. are pretty easy to make.

stick with the leafs! nothin cooler than a leaf sprung scaler. i love when the suspension are of a stockish design. the only thing rolling outta fatories with a 4link is landrovers....and i think even they went independant suspension on the latest models!

mmmm....jeeps may be 4link, im not a jeep guy so i wouldnt know i cant remember if they still use leafes in the back or not.

wish I could. Thanks for the offer. Old lady has to go do some shopping so I'm with the kids. Did you see where Tamiya is running the Bruiser body on the High lift again. They put fog lights on the push bar and on the roll bar.

Why? I liked it better than the bruiser in someways. I hated that the Bruisers axles were different lengths. I was running clod buster tires on mine though.

I would say this. As many 2.4ghz radios as possible. Any radio that has frequency hopping abilities is fine. During down times on the racing is when the 72mhz and 75mhz stuff could run but you will be limited on the time. We like to keep things moving do to 3 days is almost not enough time for all the racing.

Ya Tony, the 2.4ghz is the key. No way of a conflict that way. There are other 2.4ghz radios. Just not familiar with all the functions. But I do know the older DX3 will make you happy. It has the function to run a winch.
