Had some work to do on a customer car today, but of course I had to waste a little time and play w/ the R/C outside. This is my new TXT based tuber, beadlock rings are made by fathandracing. Chassis is a Beckworks tuber I traded some TLT axles for, running a TXT tranny w/ GD600, and a Rooster Crawler ESC (love this thing).

This is a friend of mine's. It is about a 14" wheelbase, homemade chassis, Moab XL's on pro-line beadlocks, R2 tranny (pushing it I know), 65T motor and Moped ESC. All I gotta say is, the Moab XL's work GREAT on his rig. Not all that spectacular on mine, but mine needs the weight on the front wheels to keep the nose down (need to figure out my suspension problems). Anyways, I broke a steering knuckle today, instead of fixing it I snapped some more pics of his, while we were talking, I said something about how well the R2 had been holding up, about 10 minutes later the gears stripped completely Smile

They are too short to compete with the 'big' supers, but fun for what I've got at the house. Since I don't really plan on competing (only for fun if I get a chance) then it shouldn' matter all that much Smile

I shortened my Super for Nationals to make it turn better. Everything over 14" is setup. There were some very short Supers at Nationals that did very well.

Hope you can join us at some comps with these trucks.

At the SERCRC events, someone has run a 2.2 against the supers and did well. I think a 14" 2.2 with rear steer would be very competative in the super class.

I just bought some Moab XL's on wheels for $50. Once they show up I will have some good tires, only thing is the Maxximizer beadlocks LOOK awesome...

Took it out for a couple minutes today (literally) and broke two steering knuckles. They were cracked before, so it was no big loss, just so happened to both break at once.

I've thought about going with aluminum ones, but that just moves the breaking point to the housing, I think I would rather break knuckles...
(that is until I run out of plastic knuckles)

We might would come to one if nothing else was going on. Sunday mornings are not normally a good time for either of us though.

I am thinking about going to High Rock lake this sunday afternoon possibly.
